HI EVERYBODY!! The B&B in Birr has the internet!!
Before I got on the bus to Birr in Limerick I had a little epiphany that Birr (population 4000) probably wasn't going to have a huge bus station with plentiful taxis and since I didn't have any idea where the B&B was, maybe I should try to find the number for a Birr taxi service...so I paid far too much money for ten minutes of internet in the bus station and looked up Birr taxis. Upon my arrival in Birr I called the number and ten minutes later a taxi picked me up...and by taxi I mean a crazy old man in an unmarked mini-van.
Some thoughts on B&B's: though far more comfortable than hostels or even some hotels, it is a little bit like being a guest in a stranger's house...actually, that is what it is. So...it's kind of awkward... I guess they must be used to it though...
Enough words! Time for pictures!! (click the pictures to see them bigger)
